According to the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Arizona provides the Nutritional Assistance Program (formerly food stamps) to hundreds of thousands of families that qualify. People who qualify for the program receive an EBT or Electronics Benefit Transfer (EBT) card similar to a debit card, which they can use to purchase food at grocery stores, farmers markets, and even some fast-food restaurants.
The Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) allows eligible people to use their EBT at select restaurants.
Below is a list of the fast food restaurants that accept EBT. This list was updated by the DES on June 20, 2024. Worth noting that just because a chain is listed doesn't mean that every store takes EBT. So, the best practice is to check with the restaurant before placing your order.
Does McDonald’s accept EBT in Arizona?
Yes. But each store has a different policy. According to the most recent information on DES website, some McDonald stores take EBT.
