Craigslist Mobile Homes You Can Afford » Mobile Home Living (2024)

There have been a ton of great Craigslist mobile homes for sale lately!

Scrolling through sites like Zillow, Redfin, and Craigslist is a hobby of mine. I love to see how other people live and decorate their homes (maybe I’m just weird?). You can get a lot of mobile home decorating inspiration and remodeling ideas just by scrolling through all the mobile homes for sale. It’s also neat to see how mobile home prices differ across the nation.

Mobile home prices and mobile home park lot rent costs go hand in hand. States with the lowest mobile home prices will usually have lower lot rent as well. Both mobile homes and lot rent are most affordable in the South but that can always change.

Please keep in mind that we are not affiliated with Craigslist or the home sellers. We just like to share Craigslist mobile homes for sale, especially if they are beautiful or look like a good deal. We always include the original listing and a couple of pictures of the home but we will break the link once we see that the home has sold.

Our 5 Favorite Craigslist Mobile Homes for Sale

We’ve shared several articles with Craigslist mobile homes for sale across the nation but in this article, we share 5 homes in just 2 states: Ohio and Florida.

1972 Holly Park Mobile Home For $4,500 in Ohio

Our first find is a 1972 Holly Park single wide mobile home located in Ohio. The home appears to have its original cabinets, paneling, and built-ins. It also looks to be in very good condition for a home constructed in 1972!

Be extra careful when buying a mobile home built before 1976. That’s when the federal law took effect that required builders to meet minimum building regulations. Also, many mobile homes built before 1976 may have aluminum wiring. Always get an inspection done on any mobile home you are considering buying.

This home has a ton of potential and could make a great home for anyone. (This home has sold, sorry!).

1982 Single Wide Mobile Home For $12,000 in Florida

Our favorite feature of this home? The kitchen, with its curved layout and plenty of both counter space and cabinets. This is another home that looks to be pretty much in its original condition. Light-colored paneling throughout and transitional kitchen cabinets along with copper bathroom fixtures make this a perfect example of a 1980’s model mobile home. Home has sold.

1987 Holiday Manor Mobile Home for $20,000 in New York

Wow! This 1987 Holiday Manor Mobile Home located in New York has been completely updated inside.

Both the electrical and plumbing have been overhauled. This mobile home has an open floor plan and looks to have plenty of cabinets and storage space.

We didn’t see any pictures of the exterior on the listing, but based on the updated interior I bet it’s in good condition.

There are a ton of windows in the living room providing lots of natural light. The light walls helps all that light bounce around, making the rooms appear to be much larger than it is. The home has sold.

This 1983 Sout Mobile Home in Florida has one of our favorite floor plans, a split plan home with a bedroom on each end. The

According to the listing, it also includes a nice-sized glass-enclosed “Florida room” which is a great addition to any mobile home. Like most of the other listings we’ve shared, this home has the original cabinets and fixtures.

The exterior is updated with vinyl siding. For only $21,90, this home would be perfect for anyone since it wouldn’t take much to update this home. The homehas sold.

1981 Liberty Mobile Home For $13,900

We really like this 1981 Liberty Mobile Home that’s also located in Florida. It has been completely updated. We especially love the laminate flooring, which gives the mobile home a wood floor look without the extra costs. The kitchen has plenty of cabinets and it appears from one of the pictures that they have used a dresser to create an extra cabinet and countertop space between the living room and kitchen. It matches the rest of the kitchen very well. We are big fans of thinking outside the box like this owner did! This home has been sold.
